Letter from the Editor

Greetings!

Welcome to the October issue of Renaissance-Central.com. If you've visited us before you'll find we're growing. In the next few months you'll see lots of additions to the website. If this is your first look at Renaissance-Central.com we hope you'll return again and again.

We continue to search for the latest happenings in the Renaissance, medieval and fantasy worlds and to provide you with ideas to enrich your pursuit of re-creation. This month we're taking a look at one of the country's most exciting festivals: Gasparilla! This swashbuckling Pirate Fest takes place in Tampa as the city simultaneously hosts the Superbowl. Our issue is full of seafaring lore. Pirate Adventure, a short story found in Kids' Kingdom has several books and links listed for a more in depth plunge into the world of pirates.

You'll also find a continuation of On Target, our tutorial on archery and more tips on how to create a medieval style look to your home and table. Check out Rumors and Tydings for updates on what new period films, shows and events are coming your way. Our Faire schedule is constantly growing. Don't forget to check it frequently.

As always, we're looking for your comments and what you'd like to see included and hope you'll let us know about upcoming events you'd like to share and pertinent news. Most of our pages have emails for your comments. Right now we're busy creating a scrapbook, where you can post your best pictures for everyone to see. And don't forget the Chivalry Sports sponsored photo and writers' contest.

We're also looking for writers and story ideas. For content concerns please email me at: cynthea@renstore.com For technical concerns please email Matt at: webmaster@chivalrysports.com

We hope you'll come back again and again, making Renaissance Central your own gateway to the worlds of Fantasy, Renaissance and the Middle Ages. And if you like what you see please let us know and don't forget to check out our sponsor's website at http://www.renstore.com
